General Labor/Driver
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking person to join our team as general labor/driver. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting various operational tasks within our organization. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with loading and unloading materials, operating equipment, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Operate box trucks for deliveries and pickups as needed.
- Assist with warehouse organization and inventory management.
- Follow required processes.
- Drive routes for courier services, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Support assembly tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Help to maintain clean sidewalks.
- Other duties as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or labor-intensive roles is preferred. (Minimum 1 year)
- Familiarity with commercial driving, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
- Ability to perform route driving for courier services effectively.
- Strong physical stamina to handle manual labor tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Valid Driver's License
- High school diploma or GED
