- Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI): Perform high-sensitivity Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) on complex, multi-axis machined parts to detect discontinuities in aluminum, titanium, and advanced aerospace alloys.
- Mechanical Dimensional Inspection: Utilize precision hand tools—including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges—to verify tight-tolerance features and internal diameters against engineering blueprints.
- Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards for contoured structural components.
- Technical Documentation: Record, organize, and report inspection results. Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing leads to resolve root causes of defects.
- Equipment Calibration: Set up, calibrate, and perform daily/weekly process control checks on NDT equipment and mechanical measuring tools.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Certification: Current Level II Certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) in accordance with NAS-410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
